Lacrosse

Girl's Lacrosse

Girl's lacrosse is a great team sport for girls. It's a great way to make new friends and have fun at the same time. Some people may say it's difficult, but anything you first try will be hard at first. Once you get the hang of lacrosse it's a great sport.

Lacrosse has a lot to do with hand and eye coordination. The object of the game is to try and throw the ball into the opponent's net. To get the ball into the net you have to pass the ball to your teammates and keep the ball in your net.

There's really only four parts to a lacrosse stick. The shaft, the head, the pocket, and the butt. The head is what holds the pocket in place and when they're put together it makes a pocket to hold the ball. The shaft is what you hold when running. It's connected to the head by a little screw. The butt goes at the end of the shaft. The butt protects players from the sharp end of the shaft hitting them and from debris entering inside the stick.

There's a lot of different positions to girl's lacrosse. The Goalie, Point, Cover Point, Third Player, Left and Right defensive wings, Center, Left and Right wing attack, Third home, Second home, and First home. Half of the positions are for scoring the goals, attack players. The other half is to help the goalie, defense players. All of the positions put together create a team.

Lacrosse is a great sport for everyone. It allows you to get great exercise in and have a great time with friends. I definitely love this sport and think it's a fantastic sport.

Apps

Fun apps to play while you're bored

I know for me it's always good to have some fun apps on you're phone to play while you're waiting in a waiting room or just straight up bored. I never know what kind of apps to download that are fun. Usually I go on the popular apps page and go to free. I just download a bunch and play them to see if they're any good.

My favorite app is called subway surfers. It's kinda like the game temple run, but it takes place on a subway track. You have to collect coins and complete missions. The more missions you complete the faster you go when running, surfing. You can compete with friends of Facebook. It's a lot of fun!

Wanelo is a great app for girls to find unique things. Wanelo is kinda similar to pintrist, if you know what pintrest it. It lets you search or look on the "popular page" for things. You can save items into different categories or you could find out where to purchase them by clicking the button that says "buy." I really like this app even though I don't usually buy things I love to look. There's a lot of cool things on it. Wanelo has clothes and cool little things.

The game Fun Run is a great game to play with friends. Fun Run is pretty much what it sounds like. You run with other people, It could be people you know, computers, or random people. The object is to try and beat everyone by using the "weapons" you pick up while running. It's fun to play with people you know. I love it.

Snapchat is a good and fun way to talk to people through little video clips and photos. You send people on your list, usually your friends, pictures or video clips that can only last ten seconds or less. So when the person receives the video or picture it can be viewed for how ever long you decided to let them see it for, 10 seconds or less.

PINK nation is a cool app if you shop in the PINK section of Victoria's Secret. It allows you to play little games like plinko and word unscramble. It tells you when PINK will be having a sale or exclusive prizes. You can also shop through the app and take pictures with different effects.

I really enjoy all these apps and have them all on my phone. They're all free on the app store and are great to play when sitting around or waiting for something.

Celeberties Bullied

Even Celebrities Have Been Bullied
Many celebrities you would call your idols have been bullied in so many ways you can't even begin to imagine. From Disney Channel stars, as Demi Lavato, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Taylor Lautner, and Selena Gomez to Athletes such as Michael Phelps and even singers like Eminem, Taylor Swift, and Jessica Simpson.

Demi Lavato's story was one that really stood out to us. Many of you probably see her life as perfect. She had a really tough childhood. People at school would bully her and call her crucial names. When Lavato was 11 she started cutting her wrists. "It was a way of expressing my own shames," she claimed. This was her deepest darkest secret that not even her parents knew about. That was until one red carpet photo clearly showed scars on her wrists.  Lavato later on had an incident that hurt someone she was really close to her. This was the point that her family realized she really needed help. About two days later she was sent to Timberline Knolls, a residential treatment center.

This shows you that you can get helped it you're bullied and you're not alone. Celeberties were bullied and are still bullied today. Just keep your head up and stay strong!

Bullying

Everyone Has Been Bullied

We have all been through a tough day. If you don't have anything nice to say you shouldn't say it at all. Sometimes we don't think about what we're going to say before we say it.  Things that you might not think offend someone or hurt someone really can.

Each day 160,000 kids stay home from school because they're bullied. Why do we do this to each other? We're all people and should all be treated the same. It shouldn't matter what you look like or what you wear. You can change this. Don't be a bystander. Don't stand there and watch the victim get hurt. You know if you were in the position they are in you would want someone to be there for you and not just stand there and witness it all. You need to be an up stander. Stand up for people. Show the victim you care. That doesn't necessarily that you should say something to the bully. You could go tell an adult, talk to the victim alone, or just stick up right as it's going on. Don't think that by telling an adult you are ratting the bully out or tattling. Tattling is trying to get someone into trouble, reporting is simply getting someone out of trouble. It's okay to be different.

If we were all the same life would be so boring. You just need to show bullies that you're bigger than that. You need to stand your ground. Show them you're not afraid. This has to do with having confidence. Confidence is a great thing to have. With confidence you can pretty much do anything. You can say what you believe, stand up for yourself, and talk to everyone. Most of the time a lot of people are afraid to talk to others at school because they don't have confidence. They think of the worst outcome that could possibly happen. You need to have confidence to get far. You can achieve more goals and become better at different things. Even though you might think to yourself things aren't getting better they're just getting worse.

Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end. Even actors and movie stars where bullied when they were kids. Some for deciding to pursue their music or acting career. It has happened to everyone before. You need to know that you're not alone. There are people there to help you. That's their job. There are always guidance counselors at school. They are there to guide you through tough times. If you ever see someone being bullied remember don't be a bystander be an up stander. Stick your ground. Have confidence and don't forget always keep your head up.

"If you're lucky enough to be different, don't change." ~Taylor Swift
